Today, I played the first episode of the Back to the Future series. What happened was: I started the game, played it for 2h, finished it and closed the game. Easy as that. Very-very short game. I really started to like it. Got stuck only in one spot where I had to test every option to proceed and that was for only 15min or so. It started off really great and I enjoyed the “movie” feeling in it.
Wake up, Marty
The voices were all from the real characters so that felt genuine. I saw the movies long time ago and I couldn’t catch up with some of the characters in the game or the references. So the game achieved one thing – I must watch the movies again. The puzzles weren’t very hard and there was a nice hint system to help you. Visuals were cartoonish, so they can’t be bad. Controlling Marty didn’t felt really good, maybe they’ll fix it in the next episode. You had two choices to control him; mouse or arrow keys, and they both felt a little bit uncontrollable. It felt like a fun game to play when you want to relax, but when you’re expecting a long and meaningful first episode you might disappoint. But I must say, the story wasn’t that bad, it just wasn’t deep.
Great voice acting
Brings back memories
Funny time killer
Can’t compare with other full games

Can you handle it?
TIME PLAYED – 50h
First basketball game on my Xbox. I’ve played 2k10 on my PC and as far as i can tell – 2k11 on xbox is a lot better. The graphics look neater, the game sucks you more in and you don’t get so annoyed anymore due to stupid passes and so on. I’ve played “My player” the most and i really like it. You have different goals every game to achieve and it makes your game better. Thanks to all these drills you have while using “My player” mode your overall playing skill also gets better because you learn new things and learn how to use them. The commentary gets repetitive and the soundtrack aswell. The good thing about the soundtrack is that even if you don’t listen to that kind of music it doesn’t annoy you because you have so many other things to think about while playing. The controls are good, but while doing the slam dunk competition, the controls are hard to learn. Also the 3-point contest is easy. Online multiplayer works and is pretty good. You can earn extra skill points for your player in “My player” mode if you play online against another person. After winning the playoffs in “My player” mode, the visit to the White House was awesome, but there wasn’t much of a celebration after winning the title. Overall you just can’t hate the game if you nail a buzzerbeater or perform an amazing dunk. I really haven’t used the retro things in the game so i can’t tell more about that.
A lot to do
Slam dunk competition was a let-down
You feel nothing when you win the title
Losing the game
